ONLINE BIBLE STUDY
A QUESTION OF
FAITH - James 2:14-25
Online Bible Study
We are not saved by works, but we are saved by grace, our works come through Faith and
as we walk in our daily relationship with God He speaks to us.
God speaks to everyone all the time, He speaks to those who do not recognise His voice
and He speaks to those who are saved and being saved, He spoke to those saved long
before they were saved.
And to each person who is saved is given a measure of Faith and Faith comes through
hearing and hearing through Christ - Romans 10:17
To each is given a measure of faith and Jesus uses the example of the mustard seed here,
He could have used any example, He could have used the example of a grain of sand becoming
as numerous as the stars in the sky, He could have used the illustration of A basket with
loaves and fish, He could have used the parable of a coin being used to multiply and to grow.
faith without deeds
is useless - James 2:20
But He used the picture of a tiny mustard seed and as we act upon what we believe God is
saying to us, so we exercise our faith, we put our faith into action and we see the measure
of faith grow and this does not end there, but each time we put the words we hear into action and apply
the word to our lifes and hearts we see the measure grow, we see the mustard seed growing
into a plant and getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
Do not merely listen to the word,
and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says - James 1:22.
