Drawing you into a deeper relationship with God - Part Four

The Breath of God making us alive in Christ!

as we work through the series of building on our relationship with God, and being taken deeper into the Love of God, truly taking up our cross and following Him, we will just take a look back, to recap on what we have already done

in part 1 we have looked at: listening to His still small voice of calm, hearing what Gods Word is for you, the Voice of Truth and ' you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free '

in part 2 we looked at: Falling In Love with God, falling as much in love with God, as He has with us!

in part 3 ~~ Getting out of our heads, into our hearts, laying down our fears, wiping away the tears, and looking to the heart.

ok, we are going to continue in our journey with God, going into a deeper relationship with Him, bringing renewal, refreshing, restoration, restarting, turning to Him more and more.

Part 4 ~~ The Breath of God, bringing us to being alive in Christ!

lets start looking at the Breath of God, the following is a well known hymn, but like anything else, do we really look at the words, read them, pray them when singing, lets see...

Breathe on me, breath of God, fill me with life anew, that I may love what you do love, and do what you would do.

Breathe on me, breath of God, until my heart is pure, until with you I will one will, to do or to endure.

Breathe on me breath of God, till I am wholly yours, until this earthly part of me glows with your fire divine.

Breathe on me, breath of God, so shall I never die, but live with you the perfect life of your eternity.

What is the breath of God? it is the Holy Spirit...

breath of God, fill me with life anew, that i may love what you do love and do what you would do...

God's Spirit fills us with new life and with new desires and actions

The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life...and the man became a living being

Job32:8..But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding...Job33:4..The spirit of God has made me;the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Psalm 150:6..Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.Praise the Lord

over the past few weeks, we have been looking at how God empowers us, how we can do all things through Him who strengthens us

Breathing is one of the few bodily functions which, within limits, can be controlled both consciously and subconsciously

Ancients commonly linked the breath to a life force. The Hebrew Bible refers to God breathing the breath of life into clay...to make Adams living soul. It also refers to the breath as returning to God.

The term 'spirit' is related to the concept of breath. Because breath has no form as such, it has since ancient times been equated with spirit - the formless one, 'Life'

Breathing is the indwelling divine spirit of God within. Being aware of your breath forces you into the present moment. It is the 'key' to health and inner transformation.

Whenever you are conscious of your breath, you are absolutely present.If you notice you are not normally aware of your breathing, conscious breathing stops your mind.

by breathing you are supplying oxygen to all of your vital organs especially the central nervous system, the central nervous system which controls your whole body

isn't it ironic that the breath of God within us is what gives us life, in relation to breathing accelerates healing in the body, and our breathing naturally is what also keeps us alive

this system and the increased oxygen now reaching your vital organs creates healing

How does this relate to God? you ask

.......GOD is the breath within you

remember Job33:4..The spirit of God has made me;the breath of the Almighty gives me life... being aware of breathing can make you aware of God

it will make you aware of the life you have now...causing you to be 'present', when you are 'present' aware of God you invite divine healing into your life.

You can become aware of Gods presence, His healing power withing your body already...within your life. It is already there...everything you need...

God with us....in us...living through us..God loves you so much that He created your very being with His breath within you

becoming aware of breath or 'spirit of life' you become aware of God, isnt that what we lack most in our lives at times, the awareness of God? dont we at times think of Him as outside of us, even tho we have been shown otherwise

what an awesome exercise we can do in our lives...to breathe, to experience Life, the breath of the Almighty, and you were walking around in a world created by God

what if you believed that evil stood no chance, and you were walking around in a world created by God, and it is only a matter of time before it is gone altogether

what if you lived as though every person around you was a result of Gods creation and will, and that they were made in the likeness of God

what if you lived as though you were not meant to be alone,but an important part of the family of God

What if you saw the Glory of God everywhere, and the image of God in every person, what if the very sight of a tree or cloud inspired you to worship

and you lived life in deep gratitude and thanksgiving, what if you lived with your.. healing of the mind body and spirit

what if you looked at your healing not as a formula of faith, but to the One who heals, what if you began to be aware of the very breath of God in your life?

How different would your life be?

you would not be looking at the stars wondering how far away God is

as a being outside our world, as a spectator, looking on but taking no part in your life, where we try to be brave, in our own strength

a God who created and withdrew, could be mighty, but he could not be Love

Our God is closer than our problems, for they are out there to be faced

He is here... beside us...with us..amongst us....in us

a new awareness and attitude has just begun...it could literally transform your life! today it is yours if you BREATHE

you will see all people, treat all people, speak to all people, perceive people, as God does, seeing people through Gods eyes this way, accepting them, not rejecting them

Romans8..35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
