Gifts For Men, Part Two

Post date: 03-Dec-2012 23:28:04

So lets go into deeper bible study now and with plenty of scripture references to get to

grips with this subject

............................

ONE BAPTISM

Ephesians 4:4-6 As much as there is one body and one Spirit and one hope when

one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, 1 Corinthians 12:12

ACCORDING TO THE MEASURE OF CHRIST : proportionate to Christ's wealth Revelation 3:17

Colossians 2:3 Exodus 28:3 These unfathomable riches in Christ Ephesians 3:8 Ephesians 4:7

1 Corinthians 12 The Holy Spirit gift - The Jesus Gift - The God given Gift
4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different kinds of service,

but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them

in all men.
IMAGINE

Cast your mind on this image and close your eyes and walk through this

Suddenly there is an announcement , people rush out to the streets as a great fanfare "Make way

for the King" you spot the army marching in , with the horses and great men of valour

The chariots and prossecion announcing the victory of the enemy

You see the defeated foe being tugged along behind the chariots bound and marching in step

with the Kings men as the King throws gifts out into the crowd

Some catch the gifts , some are up and some behind, some are reaching out and still more of the crowd

are watching quielty.

But there seems to be no reason why she should have that gift or he should catch that gift

It seems that it is neither by choice nor by reasoning, by but the will of the one throwing and where

it lands or is caught

And so you watch as the armies march on...and out of sight 1 Corinthians 7:7 1 Corinthians 12:11

GRACE & FAITH ALLOTTED WITH UNLIMITED SPIRIT IN USE

Jesus said from the book of Isaiah Luke 4:18
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has

anointed me to preach good news to the poor."
This the Manifestation of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12:7 given without measure

John 3:34 unlimited "for God gives the Spirit without limit."

With this unmeasured Holy Spirit work different gifts according to Grace given Romans 12:6

proportioned to faith Romans 12:3 and in Romans 12:3 accordance with the measure of faith

God has given"

And how must this allotted Grace and faith with unlimited Spirit be used within the one body to

serve others and to reach out into all the world to preach the gospel ?

These gifts are given to equip God chosen for works of service (deacons maybe ?) to be used for

the strengthening of the Church Body 1 Corinthians 14:26 Ephesians 4:12 and In this stewarding

of Gods Grace 1 Peter 4:10 we serve others

In this serving of aportioned faith and grace in unlimited amounts of Spirit we Ephesians 4:16

support each other being joined and held together within Gods Love, each one of us receiving

a special gift to employ in service 1 Peter 4:10 within the manifold grace of God. and of the

teacher (babel) 1 Peter 4:11 " we speak as if the words are the very words God "

HOLY SPIRIT

We know that the Holy Spirit is at creation in Genesis 1.2

We know the "Ruach" was breathed and it came to be

We know that the Holy Spirit was present in the Old Testament and in the Old testament Church

We know that the Holy Spirit came upon men and women

(puts in a provocative sentence )We also know that God who ascended also descended that He might be God even to the rebellious

Psalm 68:18 and 1 Samuel 15:23 : also see Numbers 24:2 John 11:51 2 Peter 2:16 end of provocative sentence )

We know that Jesus came to earth as a person yet was God

We know that Jesus ascended to the highest heavens John 16:7 Hebrews 4:14 1 Kings 8:27

So that Jesus could be with all by His Holy Spirit at the same time

And lets begin to "wrap this up"

Psalm 68:18 is a prophetic God speaking into the future using a person and we see this prediction fulfilled in Mark 16:19, Luke 24:50-51; Acts 1:9-11 ESV Ephesians 4:8; John 6:62 NLT

And so God the Great Prophet speaks in the Psalms and again it is uttered in Ephesians 4:8 KJV

This gives us a far greater picture and insight by locking these two scriptures together

Paul the "Once" rebellious person

wrtites in Ephesians 4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord,

He too was a captive of God to be taken out of captivity and captured for Gods work

and so now we finsish and tie it up with

"the three wise men"
