The delivery of deliverance
The delivery of deliverance
EnglishRose Lord Jesus,
EnglishRose Thankyou for the friendship that we have bulit together here.
EnglishRose Please help us as we do tonights study, so that we can receive our full
inhertiance and live in the victory that Jesus died on the cross to give us.
oatker amen
EnglishRose may we be your living witnesses, shining your light to all those who need
to see
EnglishRose Amen

EnglishRose ok so we have been looking at SOZO
EnglishRose for reference this is: Sozo definition:sōzō (Strongs G4982)From a primary
word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect
(literally or figuratively): heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.
EnglishRose save, heal, deliver and prosper in all things :)
EnglishRose Today we are talking about deliverance. Deliverance is part of the four
blessings we obtained through Jesus when he died on the cross for us.
oatker :)
EnglishRose Last week we talked about the epileptic boy who Jesus cast out a demon
from. So we can see that sometimes healing is a deliverance issue. We only know this when
the Holy Spirit advises us that this is the case.
EnglishRose There are a lot of deliverance ministries that encourage you to explore
deliverance but I would not advise you to actively focus on deliverance or pursue it.
oatker ({)
EnglishRose Unless you are given the specific wisdom by the Holy Spirit to act. If you are
in a position where a manifestation needs to be dealt with, take authority over it and tell it to be
quiet and go in Jesus name.
EnglishRose this is best left to a mature Christian, i.e established in the word and familiar
with operating in authority and by the grace of God.
oatker amen to that
EnglishRose i wrote this for everyone ... so that is a caveat for the masses :)
EnglishRose Now that Jesus has died on the cross do we still need deliverance?
EnglishRose We talked last week about the laws of faith and how God intended to bless
us through them but when we don't know about them we don't receive that blessing.
oatker yes
EnglishRose There is generally a lot of debate around whether Christians can be
possessed, this is a controversial subject –Just KNOW that what ever it is, it HAS TO GO.
oatker amen
EnglishRose Jesus is the name above all names and every knee will bow at His name.
EnglishRose The word says we are delivered when we receive salvation. However if we
are ignorant of this or don’t understand, it will affect us receiving the manifestation of healing in
our body.
EnglishRose Some Christians are clearly delivered of sickness, diseases, addictions etc at
salvation, with others the deliverance comes later as their minds are renewed and thinking
changes.
EnglishRose We should not go around looking for things to cast out:
EnglishRose Luke 11:21-26 21When the strong man, fully armed, [from his courtyard]
guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure].
EnglishRose 22But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs
him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as
plunder (spoil).
EnglishRose 23He who is not with Me [siding and believing with Me] is against Me, and
he who does not gather with Me [engage in My interest], scatters.
EnglishRose 24When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it roams through
waterless places in search [of a place] of rest (release, refreshment, ease); and finding none
it says, I will go back to my house from which I came.
EnglishRose 25And when it arrives, it finds [the place] swept and put in order and
furnished and decorated.
EnglishRose 26And it goes and brings other spirits, seven [of them], more evil than
itself, and they enter in, settle down, and dwell there; and the last state of that person is
worse than the first.
EnglishRose So what do we do when we think that there is an issue? Don't assume
unless it is an obvious manifestation. Pray in tongues, and ask the Holy Spirit.
EnglishRose Sword of the spiritThe bible says we are given the word as a sword. When
we need it we can use it to fight the enemy.
oatker wise
EnglishRose Ephesians 6:17, “And take...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of
God.” It is an offensive weapon, like a sword that will cut through lies with truth and hurt the
enemy.
WatchmanPeter amen
EnglishRose Do you remember when Jesus was tempted? The devil came to Him and
said, “I’ll give you all the kingdoms of the world if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus
said, “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him
only shalt thou serve” (Matt. 4:10).
EnglishRose Then the devil tempted Him, and tempted Him again, and Jesus said “It is
written, Satan...it is written,” Each time Jesus quoted the Word of God. He used the Sword of the
Spirit, and the Bible says the devil left Him for a season.
EnglishRose The only weapon we have to defeat the enemy is the Sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God.
EnglishRose This is why a lot of the time when we read the word we become distracted.
The enemy is trying to take us away from the source of the power.
EnglishRose Sometimes when I don't know what to do, I read the word. It's where the
power is. There’s always an answer in the Bible that God wants us to know, but the devil
doesn’t want us to find it!
EnglishRose We are in a battle all of the time.
EnglishRose 2Co 10: 3For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our
warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.
EnglishRose 4For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and
blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,
EnglishRose 5[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every
proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every
thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),
EnglishRose Every day we have to make choice after choice, decision after decision… are
we going to gossip, get angry, frustrated, disappointed, worry, anxious, fearful, depressed etc
etc
EnglishRose OR do we choose to rejoice, not believe the circumstances and believe God's
word- i.e. that what He says is true. Question is what are we going to yield ourselves too..?
If you choose to have an affair, steal etc God will still love you, but it will have consequences.
EnglishRose This is why in the past studies I have challenged you to check your focus is
on him.
EnglishRose Rom 6:16 Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to
anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which
leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing
with God)?
EnglishRose We need to correct wrong thinking 2 Cor 10.4 & 5, (prev) Strongholds occur
through lack of knowledge and any thinking that doesn’t line up with the word, what God says.
EnglishRose Relying on what other people say or do can also affect you:Col 2.8 Beware
lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the
rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Also see 2 Cor 10.5 (prev)
EnglishRose Thinking can only be changed through fellowship with the Lord and spending
much time in His word. Even then we need regular time in the word to keep it before our eyes.
EnglishRose Joshua 1.7-8 7 Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do
according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right
hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
EnglishRose 8This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall
meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it.
For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good
success.
EnglishRose Renew your mind Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind. This
can only come through seeking the Lord and spending time in His word.
EnglishRose So basically we need to have assurance that if we have a problem, Jesus has
already won and therefore has the authority which He has imparted to us.
EnglishRose If we have a problem we are not to worry.
oatker ohb thats really good
EnglishRose God gave us the word to give us strength and the power to see our victory
EnglishRose We are to protect ourselves and build our wisdom by reading the word. This
will help us decern when to ascert authority and when we should instead be focusing on the
word rather than the enemy. I.e. the credit remains with Jesus as does our eyes.
